The scale features an ultra-fast 20 millisecond response time, ensuring weight changes are registered immediately during brewing. Measurements are accurate to 0.1 gram, supporting fine adjustments across a wide range of brew methods. An integrated digital timer runs alongside weight measurements, keeping brew time and ratio aligned without additional equipment.
Bluetooth connectivity enables the Pearl to transmit brewing data to Acaia’s iOS and Android applications. This allows users to analyse pour speed, track brew profiles, and log sessions for consistency and comparison. The app also supports recipe storage and sharing for repeatable results.
The Pearl is powered by an internal USB-rechargeable battery, removing the need for disposable batteries. Power management features, including configurable auto-shutoff, can be adjusted through the app to balance responsiveness with battery efficiency.
